WHICH BIN TIPS

Drop it off: tricky waste items

Some tricky waste items can be recycled – just not through your yellow bin. Read on to find out where some of these materials can be dropped off for safe disposal and recycling.

Batteries

Collection points for standard batteries, such as AA, AAA, C, D, 9V, 6V and button batteries, are available at your local Aldi, Bunnings, Coles, Foodland, IGA and Woolworths stores.

Other B-cycle accredited locations can also be found by visiting the B-cycle website

Before dropping off your batteries, it’s important to tape both ends of the battery terminal, and to store them in a safe location, out of reach of children.
